The same business, now named Wendy Bagwell Furniture, is still family owned and operated in Mableton, Georgia. 4 Wendell "Wendy" Lee, his wife Melba and his nephew, Ronald Buckner, opened Bagwell Sales Furniture in Georgia. 4 Wendell "Wendy" Lee Bagwell married Melba Louise Hogue on 18 April 1946 at Dallas, Georgia. 1 Wendell "Wendy" Lee Bagwell raised Ronald Harold "Ronnie" Buckner starting in circa 1944. He was the son of Rufus McCager Bagwell and Arzie Emmerline Vaughan. He fought for his country and received the Bronze Star and a Letter of Commendation for Bravery. He was born in Chamblee, Georgia, in 1925, and grew up in Cumming which he left at age 17 to join the Marine Corps during World War II. Known for his famous "Rattle Snake" Story.
